The cashmere patterns exist in great number and variety. The motifs vary from the smallest and densest as seen in ties,scarves and cravats etc, to the largest, typical of the shawls. Here, there are also “banded and striped cashmere” patterns, “Turkey reds” (a cashmere pattern greatly favoured in Russia) and floral patterned cashmere, reflecting a typically Indian influence.
